Masti Express Bollywood Movie Review

A stale tale, the story begins with an auto driver (rajpal yadav) and his wife (divya). Their dream is to ensure that their only kid gets admission into a reputed school. However, the school principal (manoj joshi) is not keen on that. But then, the father doesn't give up and he decides to take it as a challenge and get his son admitted. In this process, he also takes part in an auto rickshaw race and wins it. What are the obstacles he faces in all this? Does all this help him in getting his son's admission? What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Masti Express Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with a thoughtful storyline and while the presentation was okay to an extent, the narrative was the problem. The dialogues were slippery, the script was hollow at key points and the screenplay was average. Background score was neat but songs were unnecessary except for one. Cinematography is poor. Editing was alright. Costumes were suiting the situations while the art department was realistic. Rajpal Yadav fails to deliver his best this time but then he has given a decent act. Johnny Lever was unusually noisy. Divya Dutta was decent and she scores the brownie points with her act. Manoj Joshi was matured. Vijay Patkar was good, Razzaq Khan was impressive. Ryan Pinto shows potential, he should get more chances.

Masti Express Filem Review

The film suffers due to various elements being brought into it. If the makers had focused on the plot alone and worked on the comedy tracks, it would have created a strong impact. The first half takes off well and just when things look to take off, bad writing and screenplay spoils the momentum. Something similar happens during the second half and the unwanted comedy during the climax was sour. Overall, this is a film which is good in parts but not good enough to appeal to the audience and click at the box office.
