Story: A
stale tale, the story begins with Sahil (tusshar) a talented
artist/cartoonist but an orphan. Then there is Ritu (amrita) who is the
daughter of a millionaire (ram kapoor) and is working as a trainee. As
usual, both of them get drawn to each other and as usual the objection
comes from Ritu's father since he believes that artistes are not
practical and follow their heart. After some persuasion, he agrees for
their relationship but he sets a condition. Sahil must prove himself in
three months and increase the profits of the company. What happens after
that forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The
director has come up with an uninteresting storyline and while the
presentation was alright, the narrative was weak. The dialogues were
normal, the script was not strong and the screenplay was below average.
Background score was effective and only two songs are worth humming.
Cinematography was colourful. Editing was regular. Costumes were trendy
while the art department was matching the situations. Tusshar Kapoor has
come up with a good performance as he fits the role well. Amrita Rao
looks beautiful and she has performed in a nice way. Ram Kapoor was the
best among the lot, he was intense. Madhoo looks gorgeous. Kiran Kumar
was standard. Prem Chopra makes his presence felt. Jai Kalra was
confident. Snigdha was supple. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion: Given
the background of the banner, one could expect the regular syrupy
romantic treat but this time it went overboard. Most of the story was
old fashioned and it ran on a beaten track. While the first half goes
about with the elements of romance and melodrama, the second half gets
unconvincing and with unwanted scenes. At the end, it tests the patience
of the audience. Overall, this is a film meant for those who believe in
idealistic romance and integrity so it is not sure how much this will
appeal to the current day audience. At the box office, success is highly
unlikely. Bharatstudent Verdict: Outdated!! |
