Life in a... Metro Bollywood Movie Review
It has cemented the last brick between parallel and so called commercial Genre. Summer of 07 Anurag (Dir) made spectacular attempt to touch different stratum of Metro. Predominantly movie is orbiting along love and sexual relations in neo urban class.

Shilpa shetty, who is reckoned for her classy sensual image, has already made attempts in offbeat movies like Phir mélange and a kanad movie Auto shankar (-ve role).Hats off to her experimental outlook after Big Brother and Gere episode. She is playing role of Shika an upper middle class lady married for 8 yrs to Ranjeet (kay kay) with a baby. A depiction to which 30-35 yrs ladies would find very identical. Shika's married life has almost reached the pinnacle where partners get separates or find solace in other opps sex. Shika is an art lover and subconsciously she falls in love with Shiny Ahuja, who is a theater artist and separated, form his wife.

Ranjeet who is a Sr manger in a call center is having steady bed relation with Neha (Kangana Ranawat) a jr employee. Aman (Sherman Joshi) who is a small townie has stars in eyes and fire in belly is a fortune struggler who believes that he has a purpose to do and his journey to Mumbai is just not to find fun in buying camera phone and hanging around with girls in night clubs. "He holds high that he has not come to Mumbai for morning walk but to run and make his fortune." Aman is also college of Neha and desperate to hook her. Aman who stays in a apartment, as a caretaker of the flat owned, by his uncle, who is in Singapore. Aman uses his abode as a key, to his promotions in his office, by letting it to his hierarchy for one night love. Aman also has dream to fulfill to, own a restaurant, which is an ancestral, his father use to play violin for the restaurant and died leaving not much behind. He learns his lesson in a hard way when he realizes his promotions and success has engulfed his so called lady charm Neha, who couples with his boss Ranjeet, and uses Aman's flat for their interest. Quite abstract is the love relation of Shivani (Nafisa ali major sahib fame opp Big-B), with Amol (Dharmendra.) They are an old couple, who were once in love but got separated due to Amol's high aspirations to travel abroad. Amol's dredge for happiness and love happens when he realizes his end, due to some incurable diseases. Nafisa stays in a old age home as she is a widow and left alone, after her siblings go to US. She is also a Bhartanatyam teacher and Shika is her adored student who often visits her.
Life in a... Metro Hindi Cinema Review
Supplying humor to the movie is the Shruti (Konkana sen) she is playing a Bengali girl who is 28 and not so upwardly mobile. She shares her room with Neha and she is also younger sister of Shika, whom she looks upon for emotional support. Shruti is desperate to get married and used all her sources including Shadi.coms. She is scared that she has to live her entire life with a pet dog, after she meets her 7th proposal Irfan khan via marriage. Com. Irfan who is equally desperate to get married and is almost 35/38. He cannot blink his eyes upon seeing anything meaty. He has contributed some excellent comic frames in entire move.

Having multiple characters, movie is well woven and co-related all of them. Shika gets carried away and was almost on the threshold of breaking her believes and values, she manages to hold herself and return back home from Shiny Ahuja. Aman (Sherman Joshi) who takes care of Neha (Kangana) when she tries to commit suicide after realizing her stance as easy lay for petty favors from her boyfriend/boss. Aman refuses to lend his flat to Ranjeet to get Neha and quits the office. Neha's who is also disgusted form her life and craves for true love. Upon hearing Aman's discussion she runs to him in a typical bollywood style. Shiny finds a job in Dubai and extends his hands to Shika by promises that he will father all her responsibilities. Shika who confesses, to Ranjeet of her conscious slip, after Ranjeet revels her relation with Neha. Ranjeet by mistake makes an attempt, to get a new start, as Shruti (Shika's sis) comes to know about Ranjeet's relation with Neha.

Shika who dumps her boyfriend, after she realizes that she is just used as a shield to protect from the social implication of being a gay. Shika manages a job in Iran's office and after realizing that he is the one whom she was looking for all these days. She revels her love to Irfan in a comical way as Irfan is all set to get married to other girl, one more type cast bollywood reunion.) Some bold kissing scenes by Dhermedra and Nafisa ali as they break all the barriers and live together. It all ends with sudden demise of Shivani (Nafisa.)
Life in a... Metro Filem Review
Movie to which aging urban can identify themselves. No crime and poverty depicted even the movie is based on Mumbai Metro. Music played a vital role in the entire show. It's comeback of Rock in the form of Hindi lyrics. Also no group dance and foreign locations, and sans female voice makes it an offbeat movie. Cheers to Pritam chakroborty.

Witty Whack:
If movie to be looked by Cyrus (Mtv VJ.) You would get 3 important lessons.

1- Even if you have wife like Shilpa shetty, man would still crave for some one like Kangana Ranawat.

2- You should do only those things which suites your age, as Nafisa dies morning after the night spent together with Dhermedra.

3- Bollywood can only think of Mumbai when it comes to Metro.
