Life Express Bollywood Movie Review

A good idea gone bad, the story begins with the life of the urban couple Nikhil (karan) and Tanvi (rituparna). Both are ambitious about their career and have no time for each other as well. In this process, Tanvi even decides to drop her baby since she feels that it would ruin her career prospects. On the other hand, there is a village which has Mohan (yashpal) along with his wife Gauri (divya). Both of them are leading a very poor life. The story takes a turn when a friend of Tanvi suggests that she must take up surrogate motherhood so that the family can be started. Tanvi and Nikhil agree for that and it is here that their paths meet with Mohan and Gauri. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Life Express Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline but though the presentation was good, the narrative was a major letdown. The dialogues were okay, the script got muddled in between, the screenplay was erratic. Background score was alright but songs were a letdown. Cinematography was neat. Editing could have been better. Costumes were trendy and rustic while the art department made its presence felt. Kiran is handsome but somehow he was unable to fit into this role, Rituparna looks ravishing as usual but not much scope for her performance, Yashpal Sharma was good, the real show stealer was Divya Dutta who gave life to her character. Dayashankar gave few smiles, Vijayendra Ghatge was natural, Anjan Srivastav was apt, Alok Nath was not used to the fullest.

Life Express Filem Review

The film actually deals with a sensitive topic of motherhood and this would have really gone well had the makers focused on the subject. However, while the take off was good, things got battered in between due to poor writing and weak direction. The second half has few good moments but it is not until the climax that the audience really gets anything interesting on hand. Overall, this film would have made a strong impact if the writing was worked upon correctly. At the box office, it will not survive for long..
