Khoya Khoya Chand Bollywood Movie Review

Khoya Khoya Chand Hindi Cinema Review

Sudhir Mishra may have thought about the idea and concept in a novel way but somewhere down the line he lost track of where the film was heading. What is a movie without a message to the audience?? Well if that was not Sudhir's intention that he should have worked more on strengthening the script. However, the credits can be given to the art deparment for reliving history on the screen with some magnificent sets and the relevant costumes. They have been well supported by some real good background score by Shantanu aided with deep lyrics. The main culprit in the movie is the script which failed to bring some reality to the characters as this is more a drama on human relationships. The cast has been ok but then it came clear that a matured actress should have been the choice for carrying the role of Nikhat as it contained traces of Meena Kumari and Madhubala sometimes. Soha managed to carry out few scenes with elegance but requires more maturity, Shiney  is ok but after a while he becomes predictable. Rajat Kapoor not an apt choice for the super star role. Vinay Pathak is wasted. Sonya however has come out as a revelation.

Khoya Khoya Chand Filem Review

The movie could have been a much better version of the golden classics like 'Kagaz Ke Phool' etc but the mistimed direction and feeble script has made a mess of the whole subject. Another reason for this is the casting miscalculation which required more experienced actors as the roles required a lot of maturity and intensity. The brighter side of the film is the technical areas and the music. Someone who has been a visitor of the industry in the past can actually see history being brought back live ...

Bharatstudent verdict: An okay affair, please do not expect a legendary tale, it is a rather amateur effort at getting to it !!
