Kachcha Limboo Bollywood Movie Review

A good tale gone bad, the story begins with Shambhu (taher), a 13 year old boy who seems to have everything going against him in life. Peer pressure, fight with seniors in school, failing romance, warning from principal etc. With nothing to do, he decides to run away from home. On the way, he comes across Vitthal (chinmay), a boy who hails from the fishermen colony. He is very street smart and after his entry, Shambhu begins to see a new life which is quite opposite to his own. However, a situation occurs which makes both the boys to take a journey. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Kachcha Limboo Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that strong. The dialogues were slippery at places, the script was not upto the mark but the screenplay was better in few places. Background score was neat and two songs were okay. Cinematography was average. Editing was required in the second half. Costumes were natural and trendy while the art department was apt. Tarun comes up with a good act and he carries the film well but then it is Chinmay who appeal with his cool attitude, he is impressive. Sarika looks sensuous and serene. Atul Kulkarni was effective. Iravati Harshe was brief, Vinay Pathak was usual, Rajesh Kattar was regular, nothing for Bhairavi Goswami, Rukhsaar was regular.

Kachcha Limboo Filem Review

Given the impact created by the director in his debut film, the expectations were high on this venture. The first half also lives up to the expectations and creates a lot of promise but the entire thing goes down during the second half. Unwanted songs, drag in scenes, weak writing and abrupt ending caused the damage. Few questions still remain unanswered. Overall, this is a film which could have done well if the second half was shaped rightly. For now, the chances look weak at the box office.
