Kaashh...Mere Hote Bollywood Movie Review

Story:

A rotten tale revisited, the story begins with Krish (Saahil) who is an ace fashion photographer and while his profession is going great guns, even his personal life is quite rosy since he has found love in Radhika (Sneha). Life looks hunky dory until Krish gets an assignment in mauritius and he leaves for the place. There he meets up with an ex-army officer (Rajesh Khanna) and begins to rent his bungalow. It is here that Piya (Sana) sees Krish for the first time and falls for him at the first sight. She decides to make him her own at any cost and does not hesitate to go up to seducing him in the bungalow. On the other hand, Krish tries to keep away and this makes Piya more obsessed towards him, so much so that she does not hesitate to kill those who come in her way. What happens due to all this forms the rest of the story.

Kaashh...Mere Hote Hindi Cinema Review

Presentation:

The director has come out with an old subject that has been seen several times and though the presentation was good, the narrative lacked anything novel. The script was written weakly, the screenplay was not upto the mark, the music was the only saving grace with its songs but they were not situational, cinematography could have been better given the locales and the glamour quotient, editing was numb. Even the performances were not good, Saahil has proved outright that he is a debutante and he has a long way to go if he is really looking at a career in acting, Sneha from her end was the usual stunning statue with hardly any expressions, it was Sana who came in with some life and energy and showed her emotions to the fullest, Johnny Lever provided some relief with his comedy. The others did their bit but that did not add up to the weak storyline.

Conclusion:

Films like 'Fatal Attraction' 'Crush' in Hollywood and then 'Darr' in Bollywood have got the same formula and even this was no different. This by no means was a proper debut for the hero since the focus was more on the girls than him. While the first half was the regular with romance and the lighter side, the second half was more towards the routine killing and obsession spree which tends to test the patience of the audience in a big way. The main culprit was the flimsy script and raw performances. The film has nothing to cherish or relish so it will be out of the theatres soon.
