Johnny Gaddaar Bollywood Movie Review

So what we have here is a good story with an excellent screen play which will make sure that you will get glued to your seats to the end.

The Plot:
If one were to tell you that this is a suspense saga with a lot of unpredictable twists, one is sure you would rather not like to listen to the plot. So not being a spoil sport let us just look at the proceedings to the plot and leave the rest for you to enjoy in the theaters.  Seshadri (Dharmendra) is a member of a 5 member gang who get an irresistible offer to make a fortune within 4 days. They accept the offer, and then one of them decides to be the Gaddaar. The audience now knows who the gaddaar is and the rest of the team is clue less. So here we have the audience having vital information as the movie is progresses. Great But as the movie progresses the audience is taken through a roller coaster ride of events that the pendulum of suspicions moves from right to left leaving the audience in disbelief. The beauty of this story is that no one can predict what is coming next and that is where it makes you want for more. The movie has a good mix of the young and the old with a major part of the film lying on the shoulders of young debutant Neil Mukesh. He plays Vikram the youngest in the gang.

Johnny Gaddaar Hindi Cinema Review

The Performances:
The screen play is the hero of the film. The actors fall in place and the casting is great. Dharma looks apt and new comer Neil Mukesh just did justice to his role. Rimi Sen gives a matured performance. The rest of the cast of Vinay Pathak, Ashwini Kalsekar, Zakir Hussain and Daya Shetty add to the over all feel of the film.

Johnny Gaddaar Filem Review

The Direction:
Sriram Raghavan is a promising director and sure knows what the audience wants. One must also appreciate his knowledge of cinema and he has made sure the film is not a big drag. It is lengthy enough to entertain and sustain suspense and interest. The best part of the film is that it is not a copy of some English movie plot and smells of originality.

Bharat Student Verdict: Watch It at leisure.
