Hum Tum Aur Ghost Bollywood Movie Review
Story:
A good tale spoiled, the story begins with Armaan (arshad) who is having the best time of his life. He has a successful job, has a beautiful and loving girlfriend Gehna (dia) and life is perfect for him except for one thing. Armaan keeps hearing voices and these voices keep disturbing him. It is only when he realizes that he is able to speak to the dead that things change and three among them - a kid, a husband (boman) and a mother (sandhya). However, Gehna finds the behaviour of Armaan very unusual and crazy. This is also supported by her father (javed sheikh) as well. However, Armaan has to get on with three tasks entrusted by each of the ghost. What are those tasks? Whether he is successful in doing them or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a good concept but then he was unable to get it to the screen in the right manner. The presentation was good but the narrative was a letdown. The dialogues were alright but the script was written very badly. Screenplay was manageable. Background score was fine but the songs were a letdown. The saving grace is the cinematography which has captured the angles and gave a rich visual feel. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were apt and the art department was nice. Arshad Warsi gave a delectable performance and he was good, Dia was mystic as usual and she has that divine presence, absolutely gorgeous, Boman was mind blowing as usual, Javed was regular, Zehra was okay, Tinu was not used to the fullest, Shernaz was standard.

Conclusion:
The film tends to rub shoulders with a Hollywood flick or two but then, the concept of ghost is always exciting so it must be stitched with the right kind of entertainment and reason as well. While the first half takes off excitingly, within few minutes, the voltage comes down. Second half gets even staler with everything getting predictable. The intrusion of songs was unnecessary and took the momentum away. The film suffers majorly due to poor writing so it could have a good opening but will eventually drain away at the box office.
