Story: A comedy treat
sans logic, the story begins with Aarush (akshay) who feels that he is the most
unluckiest man in the world and the only solution according to him is by finding
true love. In this process, he gets married to Devika (jiah), daughter of the
wealthy business tycoon Kishore (randhir kapoor). The story takes a turn with
the arrival of Sandy (deepika) who falls in love with Aarush and she wants to
win him. At the same time, Major Krishna Rao (arjun), Sandy's brother lands up
and along with him comes Batuk Patel (boman) who is the father of Hetal (lara),
the girlfriend of Aarush's close friend Bob (ritiesh). A comedy of errors
happens and Aarush lands in a big mess. How does he manage to come out of it
forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The
director has come up with a tale of twists and he has padded it well with
presentation and narrative. The dialogues were hilarious, the script was okay
but the screenplay was efficient. Background score was nice and songs were
alright. Cinematography was excellent, editing was crisp. Costumes were rich and
the art department was creative. Yet again, Akshay Kumar steals the show with
his performance, he was supported well by Deepika with competent act, Arjun
Rampal was a revelation, he has evolved as an actor, yet another impressive act
by Ritiesh Deshmukh. Lara Dutta looks luscious and she has scored in
performance, Jiah has a brief presence but still she creates an impact. Yet
another show-stealing performance from Boman, Chunky was outstanding, Malaika
was brief. The others did their bit to add value.

Conclusion: The film
is made with the sole purpose of giving a comedy treat to the audience but then
it must be said that there are hiccups in the writing. It is not a non stop
comedy riot but there are hilarious moments. While the first half takes off with
the building of the plot and the characters, it is the second half that touches
the peak of fun and culminates into a rather contrasting climax. The pace of the
movie comes down due to the melodrama angle. At the box office, the star power
and their performances will attract crowds and given the flavor of comedy, this
will be a profit grosser if not a big hit.
Bharatstudent Verdict: Full
length commercial comedy treat, recommended |
