Story: A laughathon, the
story is about Gopal (ajay) who lives with his brother Laxman
(shreyas), mother Geetha (ratna pathak) and his best friend Daboo
(kareena). On the other hand, there is the trio Madhav (arshad), Lucky
(tusshar) and Laxman (kunal) with their father Pritam (mithun). The
trouble begins when Pritam wants to get married to Geeta and finally
manage to do so. This doesn't go too well with their kids who hate each
other right from the first word. In between this is Puppy (Johnny
lever), a thief with a gang and he is busy searching for a necklace that
is hidden somewhere. What is the chaos, confusion and fun that ensues
forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The
director has come up with a rather logicless tale but then it was his
presentation and narrative that made up for everything. The dialogues
were witty, the script was strong and the screenplay was effective.
Background score was excellent and two songs were worth taking home.
Cinematography was top notch. Editing was crisp and the action sequences
were breathtaking. Costumes looked trendy and the art department made
its presence felt strongly. Ajay Devgn was at his best again and
delivered a good performance, Kareena was impressive. Shreyas, Arshad,
Tusshar contributed in their own way and added value. Mithun Chakraborty
was elegant, Ratna Pathak was riveting. The real show stealer in all
this is Johnny Lever. His comedy is mind blowing. Sanjay Mishra was nice
and Vrajesh Hrijee was vital. |
Conclusion: The film
comes from the house of 'Golmaal' series and as usual, this has to do
with sit back and enjoy the fun than look for some reasonable substance
and a logical plot. The film is made on a very humorous note and though
there are strong evidences of inspiration from Hollywood flicks, the
desi flavor was cooked in sufficient dose to give the audience their
money's worth. This is purely for those who believe in having two and a
half hours of fun and masti. At the box office, this will be a success. Bharatstudent Verdict : Hilarious and funny, don't use logic and enjoy!! |
