Dus Tola Bollywood Movie Review

Story
A good tale gone sour, the story is set on the backdrop of a town called Sonapur and here is Shankar (manoj) who is a famous goldsmith. He has a neighbour astrologer Shastri (dilip) who is rather sly but Shankar's eyes are on Shastri's daughter Suvarnalatha (aarti). He is hopelessly in love with her but Shastri is not up for this alliance. Meanwhile, Suvarnalatha gives an idea. She asks Shankar to come up with a 10 tola gold chain to prove to her dad how capable he is. Shankar is taken by it and he puts everything at stake to make that. However, a shock awaits him once he gets the chain ready. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Dus Tola Hindi Cinema Review

Presentation:
The director has come up with a good thought and though the presentation was good to an extent, the narrative was a letdown. The dialogues were not upto the mark, the script was very weak and the screenplay was totally erratic. Background score was so-so and songs were poor. Cinematography was okay. Editing was not upto the mark. Costumes didn't have much work but art department was impressive. Manoj Bajpai has not been able to gel well with his character, he looks out of place. Aarti Chabbria does her best to infuse life into the character but in vain, Dilip was good, Ninad Kamath was natural and appealing, Siddarth Makkar was nice. The others were just okay.

Conclusion:
The film suffers primarily due to its writing and too many tracks and layers due to which the main plot is not focused. Also, the miscast of the protagonist was another setback. Nothing much happens in the first half and it is only during the second half there are few twists. Technically, the film doesn't have much to talk about and the content department is already poor. At the box office, this will sink without a trace.
