 Story: A
whacky entertainer, the story is set on the backdrop of Singapore and
here is Nitin (akshay) who is one in all for the industrialist Archana
(archana puran), he takes care of everything for her. But then, his
sole aim in life is to get rich so that he can marry his sweetheart
Anjali (Katrina) who has been helping him financially. On the other
hand, there is Ram (suniel), Nitin's best friend, who is working as a
courier delivery man and he has got a girlfriend Manpreet (sameera)
whose parents are from a high society. Then, there is also the
businessman Harbans (paresh) who is currently riddled with loans and
the only solution he sees is by getting his son (chunkey) married to a
rich family so that he can take good dowry. The story takes a turn when
Harbans meets Manpreet's parents and hatches a plan so that his son's
wedding is fixed with Manpreet. Driven to the corner, both Nitin and
Ram decide to come up with a kidnap plan and are partly successful when
things go upside down. What is that and whether they are successful in
their love stories or not forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The
director has come up with a rip roaring theme and both the presentation
and narrative has been excellent. The dialogues are a highlight, the
script is under grip and the screenplay is adept. Background score is
good and two songs can be taken home for sure. Cinematography was above
average, costumes were excellent and the art department was impressive.
Akshay has come up with a fabulous act once again while Suniel fits
well in the matured role, the real show stealer once again is Paresh
Rawal. Katrina is seductive as ever while Sameera heats up the screen,
nothing for both in terms of performance. The rest of the bandwagon
like Johnny Lever, Asrani, Archana Puran Singh, Sharat Saxena, Rajpal
Yadav, Vikram Gokhale, Tinu Anand and others have contributed
effectively.

Conclusion: The
film touches base with a southern hit and Priyadarshan has handled so
many characters very well. There are places when the momentum comes
down but overall, the film has got good energy and many scenes where
audience cannot help but grin. While the first half goes on in a normal
mode, in no time, the velocity picks up and reaches the peak in the
second half. Overall, the comedy factor has worked well and also few
performances. Technically well made, the credit goes to the writers and
the director for staging the entire show under one roof. This one will
go well with the masses and also for those who look for two plus hours
of time pass entertainment. Bharatstudent Verdict: Hilarious treat, watch it but not with your head |
