Story: A chilling tale, the story begins with the ace
photographer Avi (shreyas) and his beautiful girlfriend Sonia (sada) who are in
love. While Avi has got a sharp eye for pictures, the photographs taken always
convey a message that gives the shivers to Avi. It has to do with his past and
he knows that by getting it out, his family and his friends would be in danger.
But then, it is not long before the spirit (Sneha) comes out and what happens
from there forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has
come up with an interesting storyline and though the presentation was good, the
narrative could have been better. The dialogues were okay, the script was neat,
the screenplay was effective. Background score was impressive but songs were not
required. Cinematography was good but it could have been better at many places.
Editing was crisp, costumes didn't have much role but the art department was
shady. Full credit to the sound mixing department. Shreyas as always has come up
with a gripping performance and he scores. Sadaa looks sexy and she depicts the
right kind of expressions, she has shown potential. Sneha Ullal was the apt
choice for the role but not much for her in terms of performance. Chunky was
classic, Rehan was regular, the others did their bit as required.

Conclusion: The film happens to
touch base with the Thai film 'Shutter' but then it has its own desi elements.
While the first half goes well, it is the second half that gets a bit patchy but
then the climax and end part of the movie was impressive. The inclusion of songs
was unnecessary and there were few repetitive scenes which could have been
avoided. The shock points were present in a good manner but the horror dose
could have been more. Overall, the film has good technical values, sound
performances so it should be a profit grosser at the box office. But given the
genre, it will appeal only a select group, especially the youth and will be a
paisa vasool for them.

: Good horror treat
