Chargesheet Bollywood Movie Review
A pathetic tale, the story begins with a Dubai based don (naseeruddin) who promises his mistress (riya) that he would make her a heroine. The hot lady comes to Panchgani to meet a noted director (Jackie shroff) who is more than happy. However, this time he does not want to use his regular heroine Minnie Singh (divya) with whom he has an affair. Minnie threatens to expose their relation to his family. On the other hand, she also tries to get intimate with the hero Suraj (chirag patil) but he doesn't oblige. Now, both the director and hero decide to get Minnie murdered through the mafia. Meanwhile, Minnie's ex-father-in-law Gambhir Singh (dev saab) arrives to take her back home. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.
Chargesheet Hindi Cinema Review
The director has come up with a stale storyline and while the presentation was poor, the narrative was pathetic. The dialogues were dumb and they were terrible at places. The script was spineless and the screenplay was horrendous. Background score was pale and songs were horrible. Cinematography was shaky. Editing was amateur. Costumes were skimpy, especially for the ladies and okay for the gents. The art department was the saving grace. Dev Anand Saab does his bit as required and the focus is on him. The likes of Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff are wasted and they were there only for respect. Divya Dutta does her best to infuse life into the film but in vain. Riya Sen is there for some glamour. Chirag Patil was blank. Yashpal Sharma was okay.
Chargesheet Filem Review
As such, this film in no way can be watched or reviewed. But it is only out of respect for Dev Saab and his indomitable spirit even at the age of late 80s. While the first few minutes are okay, things begin to spiral down after that and gets bad with every minute. By second half, one has nothing to do but pity the audience (if they are still in the theatres). Except for those hardcore front benchers who want to enjoy some AC in the theatre and have a look at skimpily clad girls onscreen, there would not be much response. At the box office, the film will be there for one or two days at max.
