Break Ke Baad Bollywood Movie Review

A good thought presented badly, the story begins with Abhay (imran) and Aaliya (deepika) who are childhood buddies. Once they reach teenage, Abhay realizes that Aaliya is the right kind of girl for him and develops feelings. While he is still confused as to what he must do in life, Aaliya has got a clear head and she wants to become an actress. A time comes when Aaliya decides to go to Australia to pursue her dreams while Abhay is left with a question on his future and his love. However, fate has a different design for both and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Break Ke Baad Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with a storyline filled with variety but it takes a strong narration for that to convey the message. The presentation was good. The dialogues were so-so, the script was weak and the screenplay was tacky. Background score was alright but songs were a disappointment. Cinematography was impressive. Editing was okay. Costumes were stylish and art department was apt. Imran gives a commendable performance and he evolves once again. Deepika is competent and it is the life she gives into the character which makes it appealing. Shahana Goswami and Sharmila Tagore were not used to their fullest. Yudhistir was not upto the mark. Lilette was naughty, Navin Nischol was brief.

Break Ke Baad Filem Review

The film seems to be an inspiration from the many romantic movies that we have seen in the past and while the idea of giving space and taking break has become the modern thought, one must remember that relationships take nurturing and trust. While the first half was somewhat okay, the second half seemed to have something promising but in no time, it fizzles out. Overall, the focus was more on the style and presentation rather than the actual story and content. At the box office, this will have good openings due to the star power but the real result will be a thumbs down.
