Story: A reflecting tale, the story is about two friends
Benny (kay kay) and Babloo (rajpal) who come to the city of dreams Mumbai. Both
are very good at heart and soon, Benny becomes a bell boy in a five star hotel
while Babloo becomes a waiter at the ladies bar. Due to this, Benny often feels
that his profile is quite better and good quality than Babloo's. As expected, he
tends to ridicule Babloo as well. However, as fate would have it, Benny soon
realizes that beneath the sheen of the five star, there are much more dark facts
that he can handle. On the other hand, working in the shady place, Babloo
realizes the humane side of the people and their attachments. What happens after
that forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has
come up with a thought provoking storyline and though the presentation was good,
the narrative could have been better. The dialogues were sensible, the script
was average and the screenplay was not upto the mark. Background score and songs
were failure but the cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was just okay.
Costumes were apt and the art department was realistic. Kay Kay Menon comes up
with yet another fabulous act while Rajpal was his regular best. Riya looks
ravishing, Shweta was sizzling hot, Rukhsar was neat, Natassha was natural,
Richa was ripe, Maushumi was sensuous. The others didn't have much to
offer.

Conclusion: Overall, the film
has an interesting take on life but then it could have been effective if the
scenes were strong and the impact was created better. While the first half goes
about with the lighter elements like the comedy and drama, it is the second half
which gives an insight on few realities but with a subtle humor. The attempt of
the maker must be appreciated and giving it multiple layers and characters
spoiled the fun. He should have stuck to the point. Overall, a decent effort to
entertain... Bharatstudent
verdict: Good but could have been better |
