Acid Factory Bollywood Movie Review

Story:
A tale with twists, the story is set on the backdrop of an acid factory and here lies a man (fardeen) who just wakes up and is shocked to find himself there. To add to the twist, he will also find few other men (Dia, dino, aftab, manoj, danny) and others and each of them is seen tied up in a different angle. Interestingly, no one knows how they were brought here and they don't recognize each other as well. In this, they eventually realize that their memories are lost due to the gas that is present there and soon they discover that two out of the five have been kidnapped by three. But who has kidnapped whom? Nobody is sure. On the other hand, there is another man (irrfan) who has gone missing and his wife (neha) has been searching for him frantically. How are both linked and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Acid Factory Hindi Cinema Review

Presentation:
The director has ome up with an interesting storyline and the presentation was fabulous while the narrative was also convincing. The dialogues were neat, the script had few flaws but can be ignored, the screenplay was alright. Background score and music suited to the moods, cinematography was excellent, editing was required at few places, costumes were amazing and the art department was masterly. Fardeen Khan is neat, Dino Morea is fine, Manoj Bajpai is good, Aftab was standard, Danny Denzongpa was elegant, Dia looked sensuous and good with her performance, Gulshan Grover was justified, Neha didn't have much to do.

Conclusion:
The film happens to touch base with the Hollywood hit Unknown but then enough spice has been mixed to make it a desi version. While the first half takes off very well with the twists and turns, it is the second half where things tend to oscillate and there are times when one fails to catch up with the proceedings. The key is to pay attention to all scenes and if something gets missed, then it will be hard to relate. The film has sound technical values and slick presentation but this would appeal to a fixed set of audience. Not many will be appealed on a general perspective. However, this can be a profit grosser.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Slick and stylish, recommended
