A Wednesday Bollywood Movie Review

A gripping tale, the story begins with a call received by Prakash Rathod (Anupam), the commissioner of Mumbai police about a series of bombs planted across various spots in the city and the caller demands for the release of the four militants. Suspecting a crank caller, Prakash tries to take it easy but wakes up to find a bomb right opposite in the police station. With no time to waste, he immediately gets on to the job and assembles his best team to trace the caller and his whereabouts. However, all his efforts fail and finally he decides to give in to the demands of the caller and arranges for the four militants to be released and given away to the caller. However, there is a larger surprise and shock in store for him after he does that. To know what it is, watch the movie and find out.

A Wednesday Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with a thrilling subject and true to its content, he has presented the film very well and the narrative was really intense. Dialogues were solid, the script was absolutely tight and the screenplay was really commendable. Background score provided enough momentum and raced the pulses while a top notch camerawork was the icing on the cake. The editing was crisp, the pace of the movie was steady and barring the absence of comedy, the film has been shaped very well. Anupam Kher has come up with a remarkable performance but then the real show stealer was Naseeruddin Shah who has proved why he is called the best. Even Jimmy Shergill was competent while Aamir Bashir was perfect, Kali Mukherjee showed enough evil while Chetan Pandit did his bit with élan, no spice from Deepal this time as her role was more social.

A Wednesday Filem Review

Though this can be branded as one of those terrorist genre films that have been making rounds in large numbers the treatment of the plot and its bizarre climax have really taken the film to a new league. Though the initial few minutes tend to be a bit hazy, the film gathers a lot of heat in the coming scenes and by the time it reaches the climax the audience is in awe of the entire stream and the subject. The film truly conveys the plight of the common man in a hard hitting manner and this is a must watch treat for the serious film audience. Commercially, it has all traits to get some decent profits but then since the genre is offbeat the target audience might be restricted.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Fantastic!!! Strongly recommended!!!
