404 Bollywood Movie Review

A gripping tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a college and here comes the new student Abhimanyu (rajvvir). He defies the culture of ragging and has a very realistic approach towards life. His behaviour and attitude catches the eye of professor Anirrudh (nishikant kamath) and he is impressed with Abhimanyu's thinking process. The story takes a turn when the professor decides to spend some time in a room that has been forbidden for years. That is room 404 and with the help of Abhimanyu, he wants to dispel the paranormal fear. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

404 Hindi Cinema Review

The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was strong, the narrative was decent. The dialogues were well written, the script was taut without much flaws but the screenplay was effective. Background score was nice and there are no songs in it. Cinematography was the highlight. Editing was good but could have been better. Costumes were trendy while the art department was matching the environment. Rajvvir comes up with a wonderful performance and shoulders the film well. Tisca Chopra is irresistibly seductive and good with her performance. Nishikant Kamath was natural and effective. Imaad Shah was a revelation. Satish Kaushik was adequate. The others did their bit as required.

404 Filem Review

This is one of those flicks which belongs to the offbeat genre and focuses more on content than star value or brands. While the first half gets along smoothly with the characters and the plot, it is the second half where the real thing picks up and the climax is worth watching for. There are quite a few shock points though it is not a horror flick. Technically, the film is brilliant and performances also contributed. However, the film suffers due to lack of notable names and proper publicity. Word of mouth will bring success to this.
Bharatstudent verdict: Thrilling and tight, can be watched
