Jail Bollywood Movie Review

Story:
A taste of harsh reality, the story is about Parag Dixit (neil) who has got everything going his way when it comes to life and love. He has a perfect job with a handsome pay, then he has a loving girlfriend Maansi (mugdha) and he could not ask for more. However, as fate would have it, sequence of events happen and Parag finds himself in the middle of four walls of a jail. He is innocent but no one is there to hear his plea. Now, he finds solace in the company of other convict Nawab (manoj) who somehow believes that Parag is innocent. Also, there are few other inmates and each have their own story to relate. It is now upto Parag to come to terms with the current situation or fight the ghosts of darkness and hope for a freedom someday. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Jail Bengali Cinema Review

Presentation:
The director has come up with a hard hitting tale and both the presentation and narrative are impressive. The dialogues were clean, the script was strong and the screenplay was apt. background score adds to the moods and the three songs somehow fitted into the scenes. Cinematography was top notch and the editing was crisp. Costumes didn't have much to do in this but it is the art department that deserves a special pat on the back. Neil Mukesh gave a splendid performance, Mugdha looks naturally beautiful without make up and she is effective. Manoj Bajpai is the real show stealer and he gives an excellent performance, Arya Babbar is a revelation, Rahul Singh is effective. The others also contribute as per the required standards.

Jail Filem Review

Conclusion:
The film has got everything going for it given the script and screenplay and an excellent narration but then it is the genre of the film that won't appeal to one and all. The entire length of the movie is hard hitting and it takes you into a different world that you don't want to see. So those who are keen on seeing some hardcore reality will relish it. There is nothing in this for the family audience or the children, it is only for those mature adults who have the appetite for digesting reality treats.

Bharatstudent Verdict : Hard hitting, only for select audience
