Story: A whacky tale, the story is about four fathers (randhir, rishi kapoor, Mithun, boman irani) who want their daughters to marry the richest boys. On the other hand, the four girls (asin, zarine khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, shahzahn Padamsee) are already in love and they assume that they are in love with the richest of boys. The fact is, all the four boys (Akshay Kumar, john Abraham, riteish deshmukh, shreyas talpade) are actually regular guys but who are doing their best to pretend that they are the richest. And all this hoopla is happening under one mansion where one is trying to get the better of other. How all this ends forms the rest of the story. |
Presentation: The director has come up with an absolutely ridiculous storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were written with humour but sometimes they went overboard. The script was average but the screenplay made its presence felt. Background score was good and three songs have already picked up in the charts. Cinematography was apt. Editing was required at places. Costumes were well designed and stylish while the art department was captivating. Akshay Kumar has given a commendable performance and he scores, John Abraham was good enough. Riteish Deshmukh and Shreyas were effective. Among the ladies, Asin got some role to perform while Jacqueline, Zarine and Shahzahn were there for visual feast. Mithun Chakraborty, Rishi Kapoor, Randhir were terrific. The others didn’t have much scope. |
Conclusion: The film happens to be a sequel to the original Housefull which was a major hit. However, this time, there are many characters which got added. Though it was tad confusing the film was sequenced well. While the first half looks promising with some good scenes of comedy and entertainment, the second half gets into a dragged mode and some silly sequences. Though the climax was simply absurd, given the genre that is expected. Overall, this is a film meant for pure comedy and one should not use their brains. At the box office, the film will have a strong opening but success is not that expected. Bharatstudent verdict: Passable humour treat, can be watched once |
