Story: A lukewarm tale, the story begins in a small town in Punjab and here lives Bittoo Boss (pulkit) a wedding videographer. He is known for his unique style of video making as it captures the best moments of any wedding worth watching for a lifetime. Bittoo’s life takes a turn when he sees a rather educated and classy girl (amita pathak) at a wedding and falls for her. However, the girl doesn’t give him much weight and enlightens him on financial stability and status. Taking this as the cue, Bittoo decides to go to Shimla with a plan which can make him some fast money. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a routine storyline and while the presentation was alright, the narrative was not upto the mark. The dialogues were written well. The script was below average and the major setback was the screenplay which lacked strength. Background score was good but the songs were a disappointment. Cinematography was worth a watch. Editing was justified. Costumes were trendy and colorful while the art department was rich in many aspects. Pulkit Samrat gave a committed performance but he was not able to shoulder the entire film, Amita Pathak was alright and did her bit as required. Rajinder Sethi was regular, Mohan Kapoor was moderate. The real show stealer was the actor who did the role of a cab driver at Shimla. Others didn’t have much scope. |
Conclusion: Despite the fact that the film’s hero got a good support from mighty heart Salman Khan it didn’t have the ammunition to deliver. The subject chosen is good but the execution went wrong and the key reason for that is the lucid screenplay and weak grip over the twists. While the first half goes about with the regular elements of romance and songs, the second half has that serious plot thing going but the climax was not as expected. Overall, this is a film which came in with a decent hype but doesn’t really have it to click at the box office.
