The unconventional actor famed for his films like Dev D and Socha Na Tha walked the ramp for acclaimed designer Ritu Beri at the Wills India Fashion Week 2009 in Delhi.The only other actors to have walked for Ritu Beri have been Shahrukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and now joining the ranks of these stars this early in his career is Abhay Deol who walked the ramp in a white shirt with a black vest and tie, black sleek cap and designer jeans. Says a source present at the show "Abhay was the showstopper for Ritu's show.The audience was really impressed when he walked the ramp. As soon as he stepped onto the ramp he was met with a huge applause"
Says Ritu Beri "What can I say about Abhay -he's adventurous,cool and exclusive and perfectly matches what my brand stands for.He is as stylish as he is intelligent and stands for young India" Adds the source, "He has definitely wowed the fashion fraternity. There is something about Abhay that is very different from the other actors you normally see walking the ramp. He has seen success with Dev D but has not let it get to his head and has no starry airs but is yet very confident in his own skin".
