VW Beetle
The
Beetle (Love-Bug) was meant to be a people's car and driving this
little makes you feel like a movie star and paparazzi cars keep up
easily. The Beetle makes to feel more comfortable than normal car.
It was originally built by Ferdinand Porsche on the orders of Adolf
Hitler to make a economical car ( cheap to buy, run and maintain).
The
car was launched recently in India is the third generation VW Beetle
and it is similar to its predecessor and is very special in its own
way. Comes up with rounded curves, bulging wheel arches and the quality of inside
materials simply makes it irresistible. There's also good under
thigh support and a dead pedal which supports to rest your foot. The car comes
with six-CD changer with 'aux' function.
The
car has 2-liter engine which churns out 115bhp and the initial
responses are a bit flat and once you are past 2000rpm you tend to move. 0
to 100 comes up in a lazy 13.63 secs which is not impressive for the
engine and size of the car but the auto box makes the car really easy
to drive even on a slope without to worry about the clutch control.
The
steering is light which makes the car to drive easy in the city and
parking the car just in a margin is quite a breeze, although the turning
radius is not that great for a car of this size. The suspension is
soft and is set to offer comfort. There is a fair bit of body roll
too.
Inspite
of all these it still makes up good numbers. |
