Chevrolet Captiva

The General Motors is back and this time they have come up with a rather sophisticated and attractive SUV. This is in the form of Chevrolet Captiva and modifications have been made to the high-end model. They have introduced the 2.2 LTZ AWD. This is fitted with a new engine, revamped interiors, redesigned headlights, new bumper and a very attractive fascia.
 
In the interior, the wood trim bits have been replaced by carbon-fibre strips, all black leather interiors. There is a stylish clock and two separate areas one for music player and climate controls and the other for multi-function display. The Captiva has got the conventional 5+2 flexi seating option with a split folding middle row and a split collapsing third row for the luggage. 
 
The engine displacement is 1991 cc and it has four cylinders with a 5 speed gear box. It can give a power of 150 PS which can generate a torque of 320 Nm and the automatic transmission helps better performance. The kerb weight is around 1910 kgs and the company claims that Captiva can give a mileage of 14 kmpl while in city it is expected to be 11.8 kmpl with highway being 12.8 kmpl.
 
It can reach 100 kmph within 11.46 seconds and the top speed can touch upto 170 kmph. It works on the disc brake system in both front and rear wheels and the minimum turning radius is 5.8 meters. The suspension front comprises of Mcpherson Strut with twin tube gas pressure strut and the suspension in rear is multi link level ride with twin tube gas pressure strut. The tyre size is 235/60/R17.
