Bajaj Discover 125 ST

The two wheeler market has been dominated by Bajaj in a major way and now they have announced the arrival of Discover 125 ST also called as commuter sports tourer. This is part of the Discover series which already has 100, 125 and 150. The new model is meant for those who commute long distances especially the in-city travel and also for the highway rides.
 
The total design of the bike has been different and it has become much sleek than before. The tank has got the right kind of curves and the knee recesses are quite comfortable for the placement of the knees. The centre panel comprises of a silver piece of plastic containing the fuel cock and the 4-valves moniker. The front mudguard has been chiseled nicely and headlight is new design.
 
The exhaust looks well finished, the bar end weights are smooth and the spider alloy wheels add more to the appeal. There are also the petal discs in the front to give a beauty. This is a 125.58 cc twin spark unit which is enclosed in a semi double cradle frame. It also has the 4 valves per cylinder along with corrugated engine fins. This increases the horsepower by 15 percent.
 
This time the NVH level has also been worked well since the bike is meant for long distance commuting. The fuel cock has got a paper element which increases the filtering efficiency. Due to this, the engine makes a significant 13PS at a higher 9000 rpm. The torque is at 10.78 Nm with 6500 rpm. This has a 5-speed gearbox which packs power and can go to a less of 15 km/hour.
