2013 Porsche Boxster

The time has come to talk about the third generation vehicle from the famous Porsche group. This is the Boxster. The motor comprises of 3436cc flat-six sets and it comprises of a revised architecture with aluminium-steel material mix for the body panels and monocoque. The wheelbase has been extended to 2475 mm and the 19-inch alloys are wrapped with 235/40 ZR19s in front and ZR19 radials in rear.
 
It has got a canvas hood which folds in just nine seconds and has got a large luggage bay at the rear and also one at the front. The engine power is quite dynamic as it varies from 5 bhp to 315 bhp while the torque is generated at 360 Nm giving a powerband of 4500 to 5800 rpm. This has resulted in atleast 15 percent improvement in fuel efficiency. This has got a six-speed manual gearbox.
 
There is also the seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The car has got the dynamic transmission mounts giving the driver a selective braking option and limited-slip differential. It has also got a idle speed coasting system whose software guides the driver on changing the gears for better efficiency. A total of 5 speed gears are fitted to the car and it runs on petrol.
 
The seating capacity is 2 and the fuel capacity is 64 liters while the minimum turning radius is 11.1 mtr.  The steering is power assisted Rack and Pinion while both the brakes are internally vented and contain crossdrilled disc. The top speed can go up to 274 kmph and it can go from 0 to 100 kmph in just a span of 5.9 seconds under testing conditions. It contains a six cylinder engine.
