Sony Xperia Go
Usually smartphones are considered quite sensitive to rain and rough handling so companies are now working on that aspect. As part of that the Sony company has now arrived with its new brand of mobile phone known as Xperia Go. This is ideally meant for those who have a very active lifestyle and tend to have a lot of mobile usage as part of work and other activities. Xperia Go has got an all-plastic design and its ports are covered with plastic caps to prevent seepage of water. This includes even the speaker grills. Even the access to battery is not easy and one needs a screwdriver. Durability is another important aspect here as it is an Android smartphone and it has a strong resistance to water. Even the hardware features are quite high-end. The phone runs with a dual-core 1Ghz processor and the RAM is 512MB while the storage is 8GB with a support for micro SD card. Coming to the camera, it has the power to shoot pictures in 5MP resolution and even the videos can be taken at 720P resolution. However, there is no front camera so video chats are not possible with this device. The OS is Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread. The Xperia Go has got a special feature called Timescape and it is a interface. One can look at various applications like video playback, browing, casual gaming and others. The battery lasts for 9 hours while using the web and other applications. The mobile scores on the rough and tough usage angle, however, it is being priced at Rs 18999 which is considered high by the mobile experts. |
