Being part of fitness or sports is natural to lead to injuries especially that of the muscles so care should be taken to ensure that such things can be avoided. Given below are some of the most common injuries and few preventive measures. It is not just for those who are in sports but also for those who are regularly into workouts and other physical activities. Muscle pull is the most common ailment for fitness folks. This happens due to muscle fatigue, inadequate warm up exercises, no flexibility etc. the best way to avoid this is to ensure you have proper stretching exercises before workout and adequate conditioning happens. Avoid workout when muscle is weak. Shin splint is another injury that happens on the inside of the shin. This happens due to the inflammation of muscles, overdose of workout or wearing worn-out shoes for jumping and running. The best way to avoid this is to wear good shoes, go for cross training, do proper stretching and not have an intense workout increase at a quick rate. If it has to be treated then ice, anti-inflammatory painkillers are ideal. Another common injury is the lower back pain. Few types of back pain are back spasms, stress fractures, bulging discs etc. this happens due to improper training techniques, weakness of muscles, poor preparation. To avoid this, one has to do proper warming up before exercising. Focus on having strong gluteal and abdominal muscles will reduce the risk of injury. Pain-free stretching is one way to reduce it.
