Best of Interval training techniques
To those who are not aware, interval training is all about performing short but intense activity training. This tends to improve fitness levels and burns extra calories giving you more power. While each individual has got a different interval training technique based on his/her physical levels, here is a look at some of the best techniques that can help you boost your stamina and toughness. Sprinting outdoors is one of the best cardio workouts. If it is done in the right manner, it not only tones the legs but also gives good strength to the muscles and avoids any muscle loss. You can look at going in 85%- 100% maximum speed for a distance of 30-100 meters. In between, you must take rest of 45-90 seconds. Doing this for 10-15 minutes is good for great workout. Bodyweight interval circuits are another effective technique and this is possible by choosing four or more bodyweight exercises. This includes push ups, reverse crunches, squats, lunges etc with hardly any rest or no rest to complete one round. Take rest for 1-2 minutes and repeat. Line up the exercises in such a way that you alternate between lower and upper body exercises. An inexpensive and highly effective technique is rope jumping used mostly by boxers. Just make sure that you can jump nonstop without a break for few minutes and this will keep you in very good shape. But you must have some practice before you go ahead with it. This can be done by skipping on one leg, changing legs between reps, go fast and go slow. You can also go for kickboxing which is helpful in building strength and keeps the body in shape. |
